Eight months after parting ways with the general counsel who had served the company since its 2019 launch and takeover of the Toys R Us brands, parent company Tru Kids Brands has hired a former Toys R Us in-house attorney to serve as its new general counsel.
Tru Kids Brands announced last week that Anand Shah is the new general counsel of the Parsippany, New Jersey-based company. He takes over for James Young, who served as the company’s general counsel from January 2019 to March of this year. Young now serves as the general counsel of Saks Off 5th, according to his LinkedIn profile.
